个人背景：清华MASTER, 去AUSTIN读经济学PHD，全奖。

VO: How are you?
Me: fine, thank you. Do you need the card?
VO: yes, thanks. So did you get your master degree?
这个问题，VO实际上想考察的是申请者学历背景问题，那么对于学历背景的考察点有专业，研究方向，研究经历等。
Me: yes, I got it last year.
VO: what did you do?
VO的这个问题其实是考察申请者的工作经历方面的问题，也是对申请者的学历背景考察的延续。那么刚才的问题既然没有回答出对自己签证更有效的信息，这个问题就更加需要抓住以陈述自己的背景。
Me: I worked in XXX for half a year. Then I quit this job since I knew I was going to get offer.
QUIT这个词本身并没有太大的问题，主要症结是表达自己的出国深造的目的有比较大的问题，这点的回答让任何一个人都认为此申请者的出国动机不明确，没有解决签证官对于出国必要性的考察。
VO: but what if you cannot get visa.
Me: I will apply to a PhD program in china, in Tsinghua University. I just want to study.
仍然是这个问题，出国目的不明确，因此以后的回国计划也就更无从可谈。此时申请者的逻辑是什么混乱的。
VO: how many schools do you apply to?
Me: 7. and 4 give me admissions and 2 give me financial aid.
VO: your TOEFL and GRE?
Me: here you are.
Vo: (看了一眼，递出来) Do you have any emails with your future advisor?
Me: I don’t have advisor now. It will be decided in the second year after I job in this program.
VO: so do you have any interested area to study?
Me: ……this program has several professors, who did good work in this field. I would like to work with them.
VO: what is your plan after graduation?
签证官实际上已经开始质疑是否给此人签证，这里开始履行职责上的程序，考察一下申请者是否会回国，即回国可能性。
Me: I would like to find a position in Tsinghua because I want to be a professor and an economist.
申请者对于自己的背景完全没有陈述，没有说过自己的专业背景，研究背景等任何信息。这里突然说出自己要当教授或者经济学家，突兀而不可信。已经彻底的失败。
Vo: (翻看表格)
Me: I have been in Tsinghua for 6 year and know the professors here very well.
Vo: (迅速盖章) Sorry, I cannot issue your visa.
Me: would you please give me the reason?
VO: I cannot believe you will be back. Sorry.
Me: thank you anyway.
